How Complex are Publicly Traded Securities?

rating-in-real-time

What information do you look for when you decide to buy or sell a security? You basically look for expert’s buy/sell advice. Today, there is another piece of information which can be helpful: complexity. Knowing if you are purchasing a complex (or a simple) product has many obvious advantages. To that end, we have launched a FREE online tool – a complexity rating robot – allowing investors to measure the complexity of price evolution of publicly traded securities. The tool adopts a proprietary and non-traditional algorithm that has roots in quantum mechanics and which emulates certain functions of the brain.

Highly complex price dynamics means that it is not easy to understand, to forecast and, most importantly, that it can deliver surprises. For this reason, it is useful to know how complex are the components of your investment portfolio.

The tool is available here. Just type a ticker and click ‘Proceed‘.
